No TARDIS at Easter....

The Christmas Radio Times has news on what we can expect regarding the 2009 Doctor Who specials;

"The first adventure, to be shown in only a few months time, promises to be the Time Lords wildest, maddest yet. He won't just be travelling without a companion - he'll be without the TARDIS too."

"After that, we'll be heading towards the momentous day when the key to the blue box is passed on and the 11th Doctor storms into your lives... Lets just say that the dark forces are gathering already. The gate is waiting, and life will never be the same again..."

The first special is due to air around Easter 2009. The second special is due to air around the Summer according to this month's DWM, and filmed outside of the UK. will be filmed outside the UK.

We'll know one of the first official nuggets regarding next year's specials when the title of the first is confirmed at the end of The Next Doctor.

Russell T Davies has revealed that the episode title for the first one-hour special, which will air during Easter 2009, will be announced on BBC One at the end of the broadcast of this year's festive special on Christmas Day, but the executive producer is remaining tight-lipped until the episode has aired.

"All I can say for now is that it's four words long, and one of them beings with a D!" he told the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine.
